Hi All,

So today we were sitting talking about what an amazing time it is going to be when our child comes home to be with us.
All of our paperwork went to our agency last week. Now we wait.....and wait...... and wait some more.

Timing is great for us right now. We hope to have our referral in late August. Then we'll wait in agony for about 4-5 months until we can take our trip to Accra, Ghana to pick up the newest edition to our family. So if you think about it - what a great Christmas present.
Once the referral comes in, watch out Pottery Barn Kids.......here I come :-)
Our agency director Lois is going to Ghana in August. She is hoping to actually locate our child. How cool is that? Someone that we have trusted to get us this far, will actually be locating him/her. There is still a slight unknown when it comes to infants, so hopefully we'll know more soon.
Thank you all for joining us on this journey.
Love,
Julz

Hi Everyone,
Thanks for joining us on our blog. It's about time is what most of you are probably thinking.
So to date we have been working on getting out "together family" in place since Feb 06. So not too long. We are working with Life's Vision International ~ this is a new program ~ and it's very exciting. We are getting close to sending our paperwork over to Ghana, and hope to have a picture of our child within a few months.
We would like to thank those of you for your support and encouragement as we make this journey. At the same time we wish that those of you that have questions, please feel free to ask any questions you may have about Ghana, or even why we are adopting from Ghana. Most of you know that Scott lived in Ghana for 18 months as a US Marine working at the US Embassy in Accra, Ghana. During Scott's time there he found a special place in his heart for the children that sometimes get left behind. It's also always been a desire of mine to adopt from an African country, and with Scott having lived there; it became perfectly clear that it was our calling to travel to Ghana for our family.
We will keep you posted on all that we encounter and on special dates......
